2006 August Minutes Meeting Agenda MINUTES FOR N.H.B.F. MEETING HELD 8/22/2006 Meeting called to order at 7:03 Roll call: Clubs not present included Bass Hookers, Clearwater, & White Mountain Bass. Read/Motion to Accept Agenda (See Appendix A): - agenda was accepted OFFICERS REPORTS: Secretaries’ report: The July 2006 minutes by Dennis Watson were presented and accepted with 3 Amendments. (See Appendix B) Treasurers’ report: The August 2006 Treasurers report, by Dave Duffy was presented and accepted as is. (See Appendix C) Vice President's report: Dave is still dealing with memberships and still doing the treasurers duties. President’s report: Rob has been very busy with the STQT with two divisional. He had a presidents meeting and a lot of off line business with the TBF. He thanked Dave Andrews for all his help. He also thanked all the BOD members. As you all know we lost the treasurer, this was a big blow to the board, so at this time we are looking for a new treasurer. Dave Duffy will be still doing both the VP and Treasurers position until we can get a volunteer. Rob has also been working with alot of sponsors over the phone. Rob talked to Joe about the TBF banner and was told he will send him one. The logo on the trailer should be changed during the STQT. The decals and patches have been ordered. Castrol oil will be giving the winner of the STQT a $500.00 Wal- mart card. Castaway, Clearwater, Contoocook, Granite state and the lakes region clubs will be working the STQT event. Youth Directors report: Ray was not able to attend meeting Legislative & Conservation Director, PVA Director, Tournament Director, State Team Rep, Committee Rep reports / updates: PVA Director Gary Clawson - Gary is still looking for boaters for the PVA event. Their will be a FLW Pro giving a seminar on Friday night. The boaters will need to meet their partners at 5:30 Sat morning. Gary requested a donation from the federation. The members took a vote; it was 12 votes for $500.00 and 3 votes for $675.00. Legislative Director Dick Smith -The legislative session is done for the summer now. Dick found out that Winfab invited some Legislative people for a boat ride on winni on a very busy weekend. They are not going to keep quite. Winfab is trying to get the speed limit changed through a petit ion. Conservation Director Dick Smith – Dick has started a NH Sport Fishing Council with different sport fishermen. One of the things they will be working on is lake access. The National Guard is really into conservation and they have access to grant money. If you have a project you would like to submit, get it to dick. OLD BUSINESS: As of now we have 86 competitors for the STQT. The directory on the web site needs to be updated. 8.15 PM break taken State Teams: Dave Andrews is heading up both state teams. The NH Bass Nation will have to pay their own way to the nationals. Constitution & Bylaws: The Constitution & Bylaws work has not started yet.It is still about three months away. NEW BUSINESS: We have the new TBF State Fed agreement; it is a five year agreement. This week all state Presidents will be having a phone meeting with Joe. ADDITIONAL ITEMS: A person from orford NH is looking for a club. Lakes region said to contact them. Just a reminder to all clubs to release all fish 300 ft from shore. It is a state Law. Rob turned in expense report without receipts Dave given OK from representatives for reimbursement.
